Armando Heredia
I am an artist.
My scope encompasses a wide variety of skills. In 1991 I entered the creative field and have been employed in these areas: signage (vinyl and print), garment design, newspaper, and advertising as a freelance artist and as an in-house Art Director; video production, retail (Art Director for a shopping mall), digital printing, and web design. I am also a fine artist working in non-traditional media as well as drawing, painting and sculpting.
I have worked in the non-profit sector, specifically with churches and youth organizations, as a youth pastor/mentor, writer, media director, public speaker and leadership developer. I currently co-pastor a vibrant church-plant in Granite City, IL called Tapestry.
Most recently I have worked as an art activist, creating fine art to promote awareness about social issues and entities that work to serve the oppressed and marginalized.
I am seeking employment/projects in a capacity that will utilize my artistic skill as well as my ability to lead and teach. I am versed in multiple graphic, creative, and presentation media software on both the PC and Mac platforms and I am willing to travel.
Summary
I am able to offer creative solutions for marketing, promoting and educating and have applied creative skills in advertising, marketing, industry, education and ministry. I have industry experience in print design with 10 American Advertising Awards for print with a special emphasis on logo design and product branding. My writing has been featured in national magazines and websites and I have published two books.
I am currently pursuing a B.A. in Secondary Education at SWIC in Granite City, IL.
